As more devastating news about the natural disaster that hit Japan reaches us, we here at CBOB are reminded of the importance of seeing the world’s population as one global community. In our line of work, we often come in contact with people who ask us “Why should we help people globally when there are problems here in our own country?”
On days like today, when we are confronted with human suffering, it’s easy to ignore race, ethnicity, and background and see people simply as people. It has always been our belief here at CBOB that love has no borders, and hope that it doesn’t take an earthquake, flood, or fire to remind us all that there are needy people all over the world.
So we challenge you to be inspired to help everyday, not just in the face of disaster, and reach out to those who need it both near and far. It’s time we all realize that we are members of one world, one global community, and when we work together there are no borders or barriers that can stop us from reaching a brighter and more prosperous future.
